I'm Dreaming of a New Body

Parody of the Xmas Song: White Christmas

I'm dreaming of a new body
with every chocolate I unwrap.
But I can't stop eating, I can't stop cheating.
There's just too many Christmas snacks.
My nightmare is a pot belly -with every Christmas treat I take.
But I can't stop feasting, my size increasing;
when I stand on the scales they'll break.
Yes, I'm dreaming of a trim waistline,
so take that chex mix from my face.
May my buns be smaller and flat,
 and may all my body lose its fat!

(I no longer make my traditional chex mix and
many candies I used to cook for the holidays!~)

    Andrea, I think we all love chocolate. But not likely to get a new body yet. Your poem is great! You have been writing for 11 years - I have only been writing for 4 years. I didn't want to write poetry because I didn't think too many people would be interested in poetry. This site and feedback from others has proved me wrong. All the very best for an awesome 2012! Maureen

    If the one who's baking begins to not enjoy. The rest of us who stuff our gut, you really will annoy. As for the back end of your verse. A flat one can also be a curse. :) Heres wishing you a wonderful holiday season. I hope it reflects a happy new year.

    I LOVE this. So witty. I will share w/ close friends as a non-fattening Xmas bon bon. I have been trying to upload my photo, but can't seem to make it work. It really is neat to be able to put a face to it. Thank you for all your comments, Andrea.

    Hi, Andrea. I'm working on the blockage - hope the soup has some answers, or can, at least, lead me to someone who can solve the problem. Great words for a great tune. I played the Nat King Cole show once, but it was in the summer time so no White Christmas. Nat was a great singer and an even greater jazz pianist. Love, daver
