the end can't come soon enough

thirty-eight years of living
and this is my conclusion
in a world of hate and fear and pain
happiness is an illusion
must have been meant to suffer
when i reflect upon my life
a total failure to my mother
my father and my wife
i even failed at suicide
though i wanted it so badly
would have put a stop to this misery
but they found me, and now, sadly
i've come to realize that the end
had gone and called my bluff
and even meds and therapy
will never be enough
to explain the unexplainable
and shine a light upon the proof
that this life is one that's lived in hell
and only lies make up the truth
