My favorite place to work as a tour guide is at Muir Woods National Monument in Marin County, California near Mill Valley and just 12 miles from San Francisco a tourist mecca. Muir Woods is so poular that sometimes nature has to take a back seat to the throngs of visitors that rush in and out of the ancient redwood grove. Alcatraz Island in San Francisco Bay a former Federal Prison is a major tourist attraction here in the area and it seemed to me that these two distinctly unique destinations, each the antithesis of the other had similarities that ultimately spawned this rhyme from a bird's perspective.
