Watching The Snow Fall

~
Watching the snow fall silently,
upon streets that clamor unrest,
my eyes behold how gallantly,
nature is at its very best.

I look about me everywhere,
watching the snow fall silently,
and marvel how nature so pure,
can steal my heart so reverently.

While traffic passes hurriedly,
and the shoppers in a frantic state,
watching the snow fall silently,
I sense the peace and slow my gait.

While others miss what I adore,
the joy, this gift, that comes for free.
Rushing by, they find no time for
watching the snow fall silently.

Great poem. In the last line of stanza three, I think you mean "gait" not "gate". A gate is a door, a gait is one's style of walking.

Thank you Daniel !! You have a keen eye.....and I had overlooked my misspelling on gait. I always appreciate someone catching an error, or giving advice....thank you so much!!

Carrie, very very nice poem, I really like the contrast you are able to convey so vividly. It’s amazing all the beauty we are provided at no cost.

What you say about the constant rush (to go nowhere) makes us miss the most precious things in life. The thought is important.

It is a pity Carrie that they don't see the beauty that is freely there for all to enjoy. Lovely poem, I have enjoyed the peace, love, vie
