An Apalling Example of Near-Rhyme, or Pop Poetry I

Lines composed in dejection
of embarrassing rejection
have a tendency to be
even duller than the seeds
of Stalin’s rise to power,
and more ruthlessly taxing,
and on the psyche vexing,
than the whole of the Holodomor.

It may be an actual term (I'm equally ignorant), but it was a friend of mine that started a "mock movement" of which this was one of my contributions.

Who coined the term "Pop Poetry"?? I have never heard it described as such until now(tend to be ignorant at times). Intriguing poem.
