they gonna find my stach

everyday we get one day closer
to the day that we will die
everyday one day closer
to the secrets that we now hide

now it can be told
by the ones who find the truth
so and so was such and such
ever sence they were in their youth

death will rob you of your privacy
and there's nothing you can do
no hidding, concealing just shameful reveiling
of what we secretly do

there is no telling what they'll find
when the day comes and the death is mine
and they have to move me out of my house
for sure they'll say that dark day i was surely a louse

but by then i'll be in heaven
"where no secrets are hid"
everybody, naked as jaybirds
laughing their assets off

for the dark contest

Interesting work..I think that Jesus was clothed when he was seen by the disciples those 50 times..I believe that we will be clothed..I believe that my sins will be covered by the shed blood of Jesus..Of course, here on earth there is no telling what those left behind will find..Probably a lot of dust, dirt, and possibly dirty dishes..Enjoyed reading your work this morn..I am glad that I chose this one..Sara

John, I don't know how he was clothed for he lay aside his burial garments but he was clothed..It was a supernatural clothing and I believe that we will be like him.. Sara

John...Very funny :) I'm glad you titled it the way you did or I wouldn't have 'got' it. I guess I must be too innocent and missing out on a lot! :)

haha, good one, especially the last stanza! There is an ad picture of santa to the far right of your poem and he is looking like he is laughing too! WEll, thankfully this "innocent" school teacher has no secret stash except for some old love poems that nobody will care to read. And lots of my treasures are sure to be junk for my kids when I kick the bucket! I think we will go back and forth forever on the way a fat guy wants to die. I got it on good authority from one fat guy(and a very good friend) that eating pie was the best way to die! hohoho, merry Thanksgiving, john.

I love the naked as jaybirds! You are far too kind to be a louse and too good a poet. X LT (Gosh the things that will be said about me and all the rubbishy jewellery I buy!!!)

Great verse John, had a laugh and thought the last verse was brilliant. Got your response but never thought I was that great, just enjoy doing it and now it seems to be drying up. But I did get enough together for a book which should be out in a month Yipppeeee!

Smile, you have ofttimes brought a smile unto myself; amongst other things. My Beautiful Father in heaven has Forever known every moment of my sinful and imperfect life. Smile, can't wait to Stand aside, Jesus Christ * AGAIN! * Nice poe - Warm regards, John! *
