- Sweet Potato Pie - Epulaeryu

Sweet potatoes, special cuts,
 Grandma's spices, nuts,
Raisins cooked in every bite.
Flaky crust baked light,
Cool whip heaped up high.
Thanksgiving –
Pie!

    Dane Ann, I didn't know who wrote of this Thanksgiving Day pie til a few hours ago and was delighted to see that you cooked it! In your recipe you incorporated your gma's love, spices, energy, and clever rhyme. I read it a zillion times! thanks for supporting my 5th PS contest. I am new at this STILL ya know. ha ha.     You had me until you said "Cool Whip". That's not allowed in the house of my farmer father's daughter. It has to be real whipped cream. Never the less a very cute and catchy poem. Best of luck. Love, Joyce
