I Drank From That River

I drank from that river
Where I saw the reflection of my face,
Where I tasted the sweetness of your words
So I confuse myself
If I'm drowning with those words or with your love.

I drank from that river,
But how true is your beauty?
How far would you run just to continue the chase?
Would that water cure me
From the feeling that I have between happiness and sadness?

I drank from that river
And I realized it is made up from the flood of your tears,
Just perfumed and sweetened by love
So I drank again just to be sure
If it's really you that my heart is refilled with, and give me no reason to doubt.
