Vampire Kiss
The wind is howling, the moon is high
Branches bending, creaking, sigh
The beast watches, eyes that glitter green
Silently he moves, predatorily unseen
The night claims its mistress
Clawing, scratching, vampire kiss
The doomed, empowered takes flight
Black wings open, to engulf the night
Blindly she soars no place to hide
Can’t run from the beast inside
He watches from below with a sneer
Nostrils flaring, smelling her fear
Foul, blasphemous the sound
Topples his new bride to the ground
Into the abyss she falls
Unable to ignore his siren calls
Dawn, beast and bride must sleep
No soul to care or even weep
