the barley wire octopus


   derelict gypsies in the shade 
speak with crows across the way.

through the barley field and the corn 
spread the tenacles that were forlorned.

telephone wires that have no shape
stretching out so none escape.


some said that it was the cross,
some followed the lines and were lost.

    I like how you used the words choka inside your choka poem! And the arms crossed was a cool line!
