Diet Coke

Sweet things don't always cloy.
The rainbow comes and goes
and lovely is the rose.
But few drinks bring me joy

and the taste I favor,
that Splenda in the glass,
that dance of bubbly gas.
Ahhh...Diet Coke; savour.

and Andrea Dietrich's 'A Favorite Soda.'
Yes, I know; there's no Splenda in Diet Coke.
   So, poetic license I invoke.

Good wording and rhyming in this witty piece. Coca-Cola did produce a brand of Diet Coke that contained Splenda. If it is no longer in the store, perhaps the company discontinued production.

Welll...what is the sweetener in it then, YOU? ha ha. I was wondering who would chose DC....you are the one! I think it is still the number one diet drink. Fun to read your dance of bubbly gas, JOhn. Gwendolen

Ahhhhh, refreshing!!! Glad you felt inspired to write of Diet Coke. (pepsi and Dr. Pepper are also great!) Sweet poem! (btw, what is YOUR idea of eroticism then? I think maybe only a woman understands its meaning. haha)
