Security: Respected No Longer Rejected
they once viewed us as being rent-a-cops of us they did reject
they saw us as unprofessionals and we garnered no respect
but after 9/11 society came to see
that we now live in a state of heightened security
we're now in demand, we're now essential to every day living
there's no place you can go and not see a security officer who is not driven
we man the doors, we guard the gates, we are posted at the front desks
we are the front line defenders and we don't take any mess
we're America's security officers and security guards
and when it comes to keeping America safe we proudly do our part
no longer are we overlooked, no longer are we rejected
we are 32BJ strong the security officers who are respected
