Ordinary Stitches

Im not a princess; im without horse and carriage
no fairy godmother, no fancy castle
no magical powers, no made up family
no lustful amazement, just a history of tragedy
im not a pirate, theres not Caribbean
Just an ordinary girl, confused by her feelings

Im without jewels, im without riches
Just normal clothes with ordinary stitches

Im not miss perfect, nor a prom queen
No faulty returns, theres no guarantee
I cant buy you the world, i would if i could
I cant give you everything, but no-one should
i dont win throphies, medals of gold
I cant cook feasts, or turn the sun cold

Im without jewels, im without riches
Just normal clothes with ordinary stitches

Im not wonderwoman, i cant save the world
But at least im real, i'll never turn
I wasnt born with a spoon in my mouth, a stick up behind or a pout on my face
I dont wear Parada or buy fancy things
I dont take for granted each bird that sings

Im without jewels, im without riches
Just normal clothes with ordinary stitches

My hairs not perfect, nor my skin always clear
But every imperfection i do not fear!
Im under no disguise, i hold no mask
Old enough to know, yet know not to ask
I am not holy, i am not pure
But i know i am worth it, i am sure
Young minds change as old ones stick
Young minds decieve and young minds trick
I give you my hand to take or leave
But i do not trick, i do not decieve

Im without jewels, im without riches
Just normal clothes with ordinary stitches
