Don't you just love old book shops and charity stores. Many great treasures seem to find their way there. It is nice to think you discovered this when you were a young girl. I enjoyed reading this account Vie....cheers Margaret

Now we share two hobbies. I just bought a 200-year-old book that the author sought to preserve 100 year old plays. So for $5 I now own a book of 300-year-old plays that I have not been able to find any reference to. Tony

oh, my gosh, Vienna. I know the perfect contest for this wonderful memory you have penned. Put it in Carol's "no theme contest" She is asking just for poems we write that are not for contests!! I loved the line you wrote: I smelled AFrica in those yellow aging pages of holiness."
