GOD

GOD

I praise him
I kneel before him
I lay and pray and go to sleep
Knowing his eyes are upon my dreams
Like incense that runs, through the air
He seems to rule and flow through my night sky
Like a GOD!

He holds my love in his hands
Gave me the will to be strong
He's more than my shelter
He's more than my guided stars at night
He holds me in his fist so tight
Like the sanity, that keeps me together
He's the warmness of the light through the night
With his GODLINESS!!

In the arms of his temple,
He allows me to sit on the right side of his throne
With his presence by my side, I never feel alone
He healed my sadness with the flow of his veins
He healed my rage, and gave me the gift of serenity
You're my GOD!

No one will never know what I feel for him
All the blessings that I have,
Came since the day I found him,
Now I have my very own GOD!

you know, you just made me think of somethin', you know people as far a Christianity which I think is lovely but I rely on Faith more than religion itself, the org. and disclaimer:who is right or wrong, and belive me, there's been times I speak to Christ: (wash my face) man, I can't do this.bk C: he understands our Lying downs and knows thought/intent.

your common use of words to praise God is awesome, I have one, a love poem, similar simple use of words, everyone thought it was of a man. It was for Jesus. (thinking of title:) "when no one can understand" I really enjoyed this! more power to your nib!!!!

Sometimes we love someone too much to feel this way... I can relate, P.D. This poem can be dedicated to God or others that act better than angels in this world. Greatly written :)

Hope you "Keep the Faith,Baby" - stimulating poem! Have you read any other of Tolkien's works besides the Hobbit and the Lord of the Rings? I really like "Smith of Wooten Major" and "Farmer Giles of Ham". I have been writing for Tolkienesque publications for the past 30 or so years. The Tolkien Society has published 2 chapbooks of mine. G-d - one of the best things to write and talk about as you do well in this work of yours. Love Matthew Anish

PD, I think this is one of your best poems. When we have faith it is easier to deal with the challenges life presents. It's really nice to see this side of you. A friend recently asked me if I was "born again" and had accepted Christ. I told him I was born into a family and had always embraced Him. I don't think he understood what I was saying, but I'm sure you do. Faith is really helping me deal with my health problems now. Such a lovely poem goes to my favorites. Love, Carolyn
