Happiness
Happiness seems to be so far away.
If only it was here to stay.
Why can’t I be happy all the time?
Today I don’t even have words that rime.
I’m so unhappy as can be,
Hiding my hurt so no one can see.
Where have my fire gone to?
Blown out just to make me feel blue.
I wish the sun would shine.
Maybe I’ll have words for another line.
What if I wait for another day,
Maybe tomorrow happiness will come to stay.
Oh come on, why am I so sad?
Life really isn’t that bad.
It’s just another week to complete.
It’s like a competition to compete.
