Poet's Notes About The Poem
(Show Details...)

"The flames inside cold blue you made" is saying the anger inside cold blue eyes was caused by someone. "Watch a wilting rose parade" is a metaphor for watching people who once were filled with color and life, losing the beauty they had once flourished with. "Beauty all will kill another" is saying the narcissists and egotistical people have sucked the blood out of one another, the beauty they saw in themselves is the beauty that made them someone they didn't used to be. And all of them are destroying eachother. "Killed by crashing blue cascade" - the roses are floating in the river, losing their color, after crashing down with the cascade. (Waterfall). The "looking for a golden hue" and "where's the sunlight casting light" could be (depending on if you are religious or not) either a "Where is God?" question, or "Where is love?". I hope you liked it. Sorry if you didn't really understand the poem at first. It could really mean anything you want.

. . Burning hatred;
. . . frozen blue
. . Searching for a
. golden hue
. . Where's the
. . . sunlight
. . casting light
. On rose parades,
. . clear cascades,
. . . and all the life
. . we thought

    Dear, Dana,, thank you for the comment.... it might have been the birthday blues i was,, referring too.. beauty is not the kind of development in my life... even though i'm a strong believer that beauty is a form of life one has to conceivably find... even if we feel it or not... enjoyed your poem very much,..p.d. ..

    Love the heat of the flame with the cold of the blue Dana. You sprinkle the rhyme so creatively throughout. Nicely done :)
