Soldier -

Silently waiting, rifle in hand
Observing the enemy; like ants in the sand
Lowering the sights, no time for regrets
Distant gun fire; how many are left
Injured or dying
Exhausted, bereft?
Remnants of war we must never forget.

This poem is wonderful! I think we tend to take for granted what our brave soldiers go through each day. We must not forget! Kim
