Chirping

Most beauteous chirping from my window sill
Brings forth a comforting feeling, spirit, still
Chirping merrily, a melody, from saps
A refrain, a repeated strain, tweets for that

Tweets, tweets, chirps, chirps, joyous colored birds, hymns
Wiggles and waddles, thoughts of peaceful things
Announcing the arrival of spring bright
Joy of a new season and soft dew light!

We must realize that spring will come again in the harsh days of winter. I love birds and birdsong. You might want to pick up the Middle eastern poet Rumi's book called "Birdsong". Keep it up! Peace & Love Matthew anish

Is it spring where you are right now? I know in some parts of the world it is spring right now. This is an enchanting poem about those birds of spring.

Congratulations on having your poem featured this week. I don't mind hearing the chirping from wild birds because they fly away and I don't have to hear it all day. I can't stand to hear domestic birds in cages. They never seem to cease their noise making.

This reminds me of the episode where Lucy and Ethel had a bunch of little chicks. And Ethel said to Lucy, they're singing Fred's favorite song. Cheap, Cheap, Cheap.

Their are many noises in nature, but nothing beats the chirping of birds in the trees. If only we could understand what their little community is saying. A truly joyous read Suzanne :)

A sweet tweet with angelic wings. Lifts the soul as the heart sings. As autumn sighs from winters nigh. And cold winds blow and make you cry. A thought of spring can dry your eye. When cleansing showers fall from the sky.
