Visions at Hand.
Time was once for youthful dreams,
Of designs against cerulean skies.
Impressionist painters with malleable schemes,
Awe abounded for childish eyes.
Years churned to make hope obscure,
From pie-in-the-sky ambitions.
Discordant tint made rain clouds secure,
As tenet gave way to society's traditions.
The Rogue's Gallery hangs perception well,
Hiding the innocence of a painter's flush.
Gone, are the days of Raphael,
As colors dim on a weathered brush.
The horizon needs clouds sketched anew,
As the ancient bleeds out into smears.
Allow young dreamers to paint their view,
And frame their hopes without old fears.
