Torn

Torn…
(unfinished)

To want another
The price to pay
Tangled control
Torturous toll

Shedding solace
The price to pay
Uneasy soul
Playing my role

In needing another
The price to pay
Uncertain outcome
Tight as a drum

Giving my word
The price to pay
Denied desire
Avoiding the fire

Ceding myself
The price to pay
Resolved defeat
A lonely street
