About This Poem

Liver n' Onions

Take a pound of beef liver

   Shake it in flour

      Chop up one fair sized onion

         Fry in hot skillet

            Turn head and hold nose

                Feed to dog

                   Barf!

    How nauseating, Bob!! I am with you in spirit as you hold your nose and cook this gagging delight. Yes, please feed this dish to your dog. I love what PD wrote...no one can make her eat liver....If I were a contestant on that old tv show Fear Factor and faced with a zillion dollars, maybe then!     Lol... Bob H.. no one can make me eat liver... nice entry! And yes dogs and liver are a great combination. The funny thing about liver and onions, is that it looks so good... but wow. The taste and smell is perfect for any cat.. or dog.. got u on that barf* truly enjoyed.... p.d

    Tried to post here yesterday, got dropped at kalazmoo, Brought up on good tucker mate tripe too, Brains, tongue, liver, heart, & kidney too. But still love eggs cooked under an inch of sheep kidney fat different taste, or bread fried in the fat will do ....on ya cobber, CHOLESTROL whats that never tested :)

    What a hoot dear friend, That's the best place for liver. Hope your inspiration didn't come from having to eat it. If people knew it was the body's filter, nobody would eat it. As usual, you never disappoint.

    I would not do something that mean to my poor dog. I hate liver, when I was a kid I refused to eat it. this was a great and very cruel piece you wrote, but it brought a smile as always. thank you for commenting on A Dusty Road Have I Walked. and yes back is doing a little better, just have to be careful.
