About This Poem

JUST LEAP

I say to you: don’t look, just leap!
Time’s grains slough and chaff all our days,
Serendipity does not sleep,
It is worry that holds life at bay.

Caution may bar us from mistakes,
But impulse rewards us with play,
What planning does destiny take?
It is worry that holds life at bay.

Trust your heart, let go of your fear,
Hindering chance does happiness fray,
Opportunity won’t reappear,
It is worry that holds life at bay.

Magic waits to make memories,
Don’t dally as your years slip away,
Those living their dreams aren’t low-key,
It is worry that holds life at bay.
