Fresh Rain

Rain brushes the stern earth with wet fingers,
tenderly stroking nature's blossoming hair.
The wind's invisible lips softly sigh,
as heaven's nectar dances with the moaning air.

Eager plants lift their green heads to the sky,
letting the blessed shower moisten their faces.
Thirsty roots happily drink this gold,
while baby seeds bathe in their hidden places.

The grey cloudy sky gives birth to rainbows,
softening the harshness of man's light.
Fresh rain tickles the human nose,
bringing a touch of hope to the soul's night.
