I Lost Something

I sit here quiet in my room.
I want to take a bite
out of life and leave a mark.
But my teeth aren't Sharp
enough for my appetite.

I want the wet mark left
on my neck to remind
me someone noticed my
footsteps.

I want to dance to the
moonlight's favorite song.

I want to sing to the
stars.

I want to listen
while the sun talks to me.

I want to be brave when
fear has no excuse.

I want to be your shelter
when it starts to drizzle.

I want to love you when
you think no one is there.

I want to be your pillow
when your head is heavy.

I want to be your moment
when you feel my pain.
I want to be!!!!!!!

This is a beautiful poem Sean - I love it. You've captured the essence of being well- that wish that everything in life just clicked into place. Very well written. I'd also like to thank you for your visit - your words are encouraging. Thank you. Vicky.

Such raw emotion and desire. I love the line "someone noticed my footsteps" I think that is a wish of everyone.

Thank you 4 your comment Sean, I have read a few of your pieces.. Some thoughts..' What has been is not ( you ) what is to be is (beyond you) clear your mind and let the poetry flow.' in this you will find that which you seek; the wholeness and the fullfilment.. Good work so far, Joe..'
