My last hour..
I'd call up my sister and mother,
apologize for being an aweful son and brother,
Then I cradle my wife,
discussing the memories of our wonderful life.
While not everything turned out roses,
I came to this world, for experience, not poses.
With my dog's at my side,
I'd open up wide...
to the thoughts of my life
let go of the anger, bitterness and strife.
Flashes of childhood, visions of memories, fading to past
Waiting for God, My Father at last.
I'd ask my wife to get me a glass of water,
and pass while she's gone...cuz that's just the way I am...
