The Quest

To find love
is to hang on
to the wandering wind
You tremble on Oblivion

To feel love
Is to cast yourself to the whirlwind
You will stumble
Helplessly from pillar to post

To conquer love
Is to wrestle with nature
You will end up getting drunk
And fall from the sky thereafter

To find love
Is to embark on a long journey
Like finding water in a desert
Only to find…a mirage

To feel love
Is to immerse your heart
In a shallow pool of boiling water
You feel it bubbling over the brink

To conquer love
Is to overcome death
The bite of a desert snake
The pain will not sting
It will only take your breath away

A wonderful poetic communication penned with words of love. A common language for all of us that has once loved or are in love. I especially like the last stanza Olajide. Connie
