splendor magnificent

A vessel contents unknown
all that unconformity speaks of
dramatic and real
never to be placed on a shelf
by any man’s hand dead or alive

Waiting on empty faith refrained
imagining crystalline brotherly love
untainted and shockingly pain free

Monsters they come
in velvety gift wrapped boxes
chipping away porcelain veneer
weakening bonds of molecular structure
levee breaks and inside turns out

A solitary heart with no legions at my side
raised arms against a fortress of spades
pledging my life in return splendor magnificent

This is a good read my friend. Reminds me of that phrase from Forest Gump: "Life is like a box of candy, you just never know what you're gonna get." Good job here. God Bless, JB

I like the metaphors, and the symbolism. food for thought for sure. I like it!
