Life In a House

My life without knowing or seeing
I was building a house
on top of a sinkhole
that could release any day
The walls where made of straw
this allowed bugs to eat away
where moisture would enter
creating mold to cause sickness
My house would shake
like there was an earthquake
when the storms would come
The roof was falling in
about to cause disaster
The windows I had created
had blinds over them
therefore could not see outside
It finally came to me
that I better do something about this
what I was trying to do alone
was not working
I knew to make this work
I was gonna have to tear down and rebuild
To have help from one to show and lead
This is when I called upon Jesus
and pleaded for Him to knock
I answered and Life has not been the same since
Jesus will place you on a solid foundation
and throw those blinds on the windows out
so you shall see the light surrounding
We have to have Jesus with us
We can not do it alone
For He shall guide and build you a home
And teach the beauty of the inside
is where we shall start
To change the stone
to one with a pure heart

Yes we have to build our faith on a strong foundation or it will not withstand the storms that come. Like the analogy you created. God Bless phyl
