About This Poem
Picture
You say,
"Cheese!"
and in the magic window the time is an eternity present
and there is the girl&daughter&woman
as we always must remember her
young not old
and i a fool ferocious father beat at my heart
as she dances into yesterday
all smiles and joy
translucent angel that she is
i miss the delicious child of Then
but wake to a caramel breath of change
almost as good as deep perfume
and celebrate a sacred brilliant life
lingering with me awhile yet, at home.
