Melancholy

Misery
Pure misery
With its evil ropes
Suffocating suffocating.
Wretchedness
Now before your eyes
Slices slices
Happiness into many pieces
And staring down at the ground
You see the pieces fall
And then staring up
Moving moving
Comes the darkness of your thoughts
Terrible
All terrible
You surrender
Putting your hands into the air
Waiting waiting.

I am enjoying reading the very diverse poetry here this morning in my Soupland. Words pouring onto paper from poets souls. What a joy to be able to sit and read such wonderful poetry for awhile today. Have a very good day Isioma. Love, Carol
