On the 14th of February
Red became our national flag
candles melted and died
Bottles gave generously theirs
Our faces like millennium jack and rose
i did give her a red rose
that i may come close
but her emotions froze
as if she off, doze
it ended as it started
a first date
with no date
with no soul mate
against fate
