The Silence of a Falling Star

The silence of a falling star,

so near, yet so far.

Wishes hoped for without

there be any doubt.

Summer nights so sweet,

before childhood was complete.

I remember falling stars in my childhood and how awed I was. I don't ever see one now that I am an adult. Lovely writing and thank you for your kind remarks about my haiku. Love, Joyce
