'TIS A SAD THING INDEED THAT I CAN CHURN THESE OUT LIKE BUTTER

'TIS A SAD THING INDEED THAT I CAN CHURN THESE OUT LIKE BUTTER
Tomorrow laughs at today
In a particularly imprudent way
Tomorrow night laughs at tonight
For it knows with each sunset grows such its might
Tomorrow says to today, “just look around at this curse
And my tomorrow will be even worse”
More bombs to behead, more bullets to bleed
And more universal need
More frames of skin stretched as an artist’s canvas over the bones of babies
weakened by war
As tomorrow threatens today that he may have made insane sorrow but tomorrow
tomorrow will make even more
