The White Rabbit in Alice's Wonderland

The hoppity White Rabbit had once scurrylopped,
A-meeting his faerie cousin at her door he popped.

Lackity lack he found the darn door was locked,
The fence he clambalopt on carrot patch he flopped.

Oh, Blimey! delicious,
The carrots scrummylicious.

Whooshyligged the faerie had put a charm,
Would become an ickety carrot in the farm.

Dwinderling he shrigged to a dimikinned size,
Sproomed the greelings from his head wise.

Bitsy eyes they peeked squiggly to look around,
And twiggly toes went rooting into the ground.

Gingerly with stealth he tried to stir but failed,
Woebegone and gloopity his scarlet face paled.

When a wingsy thing came pecking, he found it absurd,
From his gnarled mouth atop he screeched at the bird.

An incorrigible nincompoop in his fiddlesticks red habit,
Grobbling fell into the gloop the picketty White Rabbit.

The faerie had fropvelled far to the lochs,
'Till then Tweedledum and dee lurked out to mock.

LOL Thanks for your comments, Gautami. I am in the "medium" jeans now. Tossing out the hoola-hoop jeans because I don't want to go back there. Keeping the "thin" jeans because hope springs eternal as the V-8 diet continues. Love, Carolyn

What a riot, Gautami!! I think this is just the kind of poem Deb will adore. You had me laughing at the words you invented to tell the story of the "picketty White Rabbit." It surely does remind me of "Jabberwocky" and you have outdone yourself! Congrats in advance -- this HAS to be a winner! Love, Carolyn

This is just MARVELOUS and I believe EXACTLY what Miss Debbie is looking for (in my humble opinion). Your vocab selection in right on target for this fairy tale filled with some of my favorite old time words-nincompoop,fiddlesticks. Do u converse like this regularly with your associates at work or do you have a fairy tale split personality? ha ha. It flows so naturally from your pen! What a nice poem to contrast your versatility after u wrote the Potter's Doll. Blessings to you and your family.
