HOPE IS A TIRELESS TODDLER

wide-eyed toddler
who happily drools
at the thought of again

She sways sideways,
reels backwards,
staggers forward,
falls down again
on bruised

Again, she gets up,
starts walking, plodding,
innocently undaunted,
fumbling, tirelessly
