About This Poem

Frozen Bliss

I sit here beside him listening
to his soft velvety voice,
wondering if I am trapped in a
silent reverie.
His eyes begin to shimmer in
the golden twilight of the
single burning flame of a
lonely candle upon a wooden
table.
He touches my trembling skin
with untarnished hand of many
forbidden truths; created by
whispering sprites, gently
stroking my cheek.
Silently I am hoping I never
wake up from this enchanting
tale.
I feel his fingers going through
my shiny red hair; my eyes open,
he is smiling contentedly.
I notice the sudden sparkle in
his baby-blue eyes; I now
know it is not a dream, but a
frozen reality of my forgotten
thoughts locked away within my
mind lost in a mist of frozen
bliss.

Mmm, a poem of quite excellent imagination using some unusual words. The only down side i would have is i am still left not knowing who the characters of this fine work really are...but i still enjoyed.. but when you use words like "reverie" and "sprites" well.. I would like to know more....but then yes.. we are all born to imagine..cheers.
