Death at an early age

I come from the suburban white
Struggle and fight
Of a misfit born
To the sound of his own horn

I was six weeks on this earth
Mom had just given birth
When her husband succumed
To the cancer in his lungs

To deliver my family from pain
A savior I was named
Some pretty big shoes to fill
When I lack the courage and the will

My mothers father's all I had
When I was just a young lad
When an attack of his heart
Had finally made us part
