phalanges lost

super nova eyed fish
If served for dinner O how large a dish
Is it speckled freckled can it blush
trying to catch it
my hands in a rush
the line caught and in a fit
I put my hand within it
phalanges lost
no more fishing lines can I toss

What a terrible accident you describe...but one that we can picture vividly from your well done poem. Good work.
