Luck Incarnate
The Lucky Man in the Mirror
When I see her gorgeous face,
I am lifted. I'm alive.
There's no feeling, thought or ecstacy,
That could rival her brown eyes.
And an hour is a second,
As if time had been defied.
And the clock is always frozen,
When I have her by my side.
When she approaches with a smile,
Any dreary thought can break.
I am baffled by her beauty.
I'm confounded by her shape.
Her brown hair is like a waterfall,
Flowing steady in its place.
My heart leaps from my chest,
When she moves it from her face.
And her lips, they are a mirror,
Where I see a lucky man.
They compel me to remember,
Just how fortunate I am.
