Enter, June

Enter, June; I’m filled with anticipation. Flutter in on me! Like a lovely lark, come trilling. Weariness has been long time on my shoulders. Come thrill me! Bring with you the moon and your passion. Yes, the lovers’ moon that poets so often sing of. Winter brought me nothing but dreariness. I need to be glowing. Hurry, June, and bring very soon the summer’s sun, for spring has been endless rain upon my pane. Dispel the gloom! Please appear, dear June, and warmly embrace me.

Andrea you did so well with this new form.not an easy one by the look of it, the fourth line has to be five syllables and how smoothly you have made it flow with the rest..Congratulations on your fabulous win in this wonderful contest... love, gautami

You've done wonders (again) using this new form! June sounds good to me, Andrea. We're still getting April's showers. Whatever happened to April that caused her to weep on May? Anyhow, hope June arrives with warmth and a grinning sun. This sounds promising! Best wishes! Mikki

Andrea, great poem... but June.. I hate hate hate... lol.. it'd stupid stupid.. stupidly hot... lol... Andrea, kidding.. I dread June, one, it means summer .. and summer here starts in late February... today our temperature was 104 degrees... I was all edgy... not even the middle of our hot weather... another reason. I hate June is personal.. another reason is my sons birthday falls on the day my mother passed away... boo. Wohh..& its also my lovers birthday.. crazy June.,..p.d.

Worst winter I can remember. Yes! "Enter, June." Very interesting form, like a spirit, kindly imploring a Pagan God. Reminds me of a mythical subject. Love it! LOve, daver

yes I hope June brings warm weather with it. Like where you live, the sun starts to shine here some days, but then it gets cloudy and it rains, or stays cloudy all day. this has been the coldest May I ever remember. and we have had a record rain fall of 5 inches, with four days left. you wrote a great poem, good luck in contest. thank you for commenting on Bashful Sun.

It just finished raining over here this evening (we have frequent thunderstorms & we had a typhoon looming) but during daytime, the Sun pretty much shines its bright smile--really enjoy how you implore for June to come here and I am not familiar with this form but not surprised at all that you can pull any form! You make everything sound easy to write :) hugs to you sweetie-- I will catch up with you soon, ok?? & happy to read your writes :)
