A Mirror's Edge

What becomes of us today
If we let down our hair?
Should the songs we long to sing
Become the very air?
I live no longer in a mind,
Nor through a mirror's edge
Upon two worlds -- of day, of dream
And I upon the ledge

I dance the shadows of the day;
By night, the mirrored sun.
The dark to echo all that is --
The light, what shall become.
