Flit, the tree fairy

Flit, a tree fairy fluttered about,
watching as new leaves started to sprout.
Her job every Spring, was to watch every one.
Make sure that each got their fair share of sun.

She flew back and forth on a bright sunny day,
touching each tree in her own magic way.
Sprinkling fairy dust here and then there,
making quite sure that they each got their share.

And when every leaf, on each tree was done,
she said goodnight to the now setting sun.
And finding an empty blue robins nest,
she settled right in for a long night of rest.

Like this poem a lot. My dad loves walking in the woods, there is a particular tree that has a 'door' shaped into the bottom of it. He calles it 'the fairy tree' and often knocks on the door!!! Yes he is a little crazy! Congrats on the win too by the way. x

Very nice work. I love the last two lines. And finding an empty blue robins nest, she settled right in for a long night of rest. Sounds peaceful and fairy like. Congratulations on your win. Love, Vie.

What a delightful poem, Linda. You made it easy for us to envision Flit going about her duties and bringing sunshine to each life. Very nice entry for the Fantasyland contest. Wishing you success! Love, Carolyn
