Sunday in March

Sonntag im März / Sunday in March / Un domingo en marzo

Kein Lärm der Straße
Sonniger Sonntag im März
Nur Vogelgezwitscher

Ticken der Uhr im Zimmer
Wie ein Herzschlag der Technik

No road noise
A sunny Sunday in March
Only the birds' chirp

The clock's ticking in the room
Like a technical heartbeat

No ruido en la calle
Soleado domingo de marzo
Sólo gorjeo de pájaros

El tictac del reloj en el cuarto
Como un latido técnico

The contrast you put here is very nice, liked how your first 3 lines speak of nature and the last lines take on a mechanical route-- could picture both in my mind-- enjoyed your read as always. :)

Don't you just love it when the traffic dies down and you can hear the songs of nature. The ticking clock is a reminder that time is passing so quickly. Excellent poem, Gert! Love, Carolyn

I'm sorry to hear your arm and hand are still hurting, Gert. I do hope you'll feel better soon. Here's my poem - hope you think it's OK? Love’s soft petals fall Leaving bare thorny branches Heady perfume gone But with care and attention From one rose grows a bouquet Yes, I'd be very grateful if you'd translate for me please : ) Love from Jack

What a lovely poem, Gert - wish it was so quiet here on a Sunday! I probably need a hair transplant, and liposuction (on my belly), but I won't worry about the things my mirror shows me either LOL. Thanks for sending the poem - it's beautiful - I'll work on my half tonight. Hope your arm and hand get better soon. Love from Jack : )
