Sitting alone in the dark listening to my music
Moments like these are few and far in between for me
But these moments are when I function best
Brief flashes of a short-lived peace
If only but for a moment or two
Moments like these are absolutely golden
I think better
My mind wanders to depths unchartered
I write better
My silent refuge gives me the courage to pen every emotion I feel
I breathe better
Every ailment is exhaled and only positive energy is inhaled
I am better in moments like these
