winter's last breath

a soft warm breeze sings
joy as spring bursts with fresh air
icicles dripping
tears of winter's dying breath
as my heart thaws, missing you

This beautiful Tanka you've written perhaps will hurry spring on it's journey, Stephen. Always, Annalise.

I hate to think of you having a frozen heart, Stephen, so I'm glad winter's last breath is melting the ice. Such a lovely tanka, dear. Love, Carolyn

I hope winter soon takes its last breaths. I'm so sick of the cold. Nice tanka describing this inevitable season.
