Uncertainty

Uncertainty reins supreme these days.
A heart trapped in love's unyielding maze
Where bold fire sparks once thrived now silent embers abound
A cold, calm stillness is all that remains
To love and lose is but one of many of life's growing pangs
The lesser part of one's humanity steers reasoning toward blaming outside influences
Facts give a verdict more complicated than that
But at this moment truth is a foe and a hard pill to swallow
The inevitable is inescapable
But what is the inevitable?
Uncertainty is sovereign
