With a fling Cupid's arrows did soar:
Pierced my head, heart, loins and more.
With Valentine glee,
I shopped like a bee.
My soul to the 14th I swore.
I began at Godiva's sweet shore.
Then a florists for roses galore.
I spared no expense.
Dropped my last common cents
On Hallmarks' paper amour.
The aim of affection I bore,
In Victoria's Secret decor,
Sniffed, nibbled and read,
Then, teary-eyed, said:
"They sell cheesy love in a store!"
