About This Poem

You Lied

With tears in my eyes
I came to you
But you lied
You looked straight at me
You said it wasn't true
That lady was lieing to you
Isn't that what you said ?
That you'd always be true
Who was that girl who answered?
All the while you kept me at home.
You said you wanted a wife kept
Safely at home
I trusted in your words
Evan though I really always knew
That you were a playboy
That you would never be true!

Debbie, this is a good read. We always want people to be honest with us. I believe that honesty is the best policy. Thanks for sharing.

    Yea, sometimes it takes a minute or two, to figure it out. Yes I'd rather have honesty. That way you know where you stand. thank you for reading my words,,,,, have a great day ;}

This is simple to read and understand, so it has no problem in conveying its message.
