Jolly Green Giant

A green giant walked his fields to inspect
as a young maiden glanced up circumspect
she screamed and fainted
her young eyes were tainted
by seeing, a too jolly green giant erect

for Deborah's limerick contest

No you won't get into trouble ;) Line 1 OK line 2 OK drop the BUT in line 3 add "were" before "tainted" line 4 and you need to put more words/syllables in 5, great topic for, work [Deb cracks the whip~]

LOL The "erect" giant would scare me too, Stephen. This is so funny and yet so subtle, but I think it will be a winner in the contest. Just go to the left hand side of this page under contests and pick contests by members. Click "enter" in the area where Deb's contest is listed and it will take you to a list of your poems. Then just find your poem and click on the circle in front of it. Then on that page click "enter contest" at the top or bottom of the page. Hope that's helpful. Love
